Computer Facilities

All the Hall's study/bedrooms have network connections. You provide the ethernet card and buy the cable from us. Bruce Hall employs a 'user-pays' system for the network access. Our network supports the latest versions of Apple, Microsoft and Linux operating systems for Internet access. We also provide a Computer Lab where Internet access based on a quota system linked with the University is available. The computer lab contains PCs, Macintoshes, and X terminals and provides the use of a high speed laser printer and photocopier. Senior Resident IT Staff assist with the management of Computer services at Bruce Hall, including maintainingan online IT help desk.

The Library

The Bruce Hall library is staffed by volunteer librarians and is open after dinner every night for quiet study or to curl up on a comfy couch with one of the novels donated by residents.

Tutorial Rooms

A variety of tutorial rooms are available for tutorials or group study and also make a change of environment for individual study.

Music Rooms

Facilities are provided for resident musicians for practice, and also for performance of music at the Hall. There are several pianos, including a Yamaha grand piano in the dining hall.

Central Common Room

A large open space often used for dance lessans and rehersal space for a variety of productions, including the Bruce Hall play as well as extra study space at busy times of the year.

University Facilities

ANU facilities, including computer labs and Chiefly Library, are just across the road from the Hall and many students like to study there so that their study bedrooms are a place of relaxation.
